Episode 03 is kind of amazing
So I wanted to put together a tight little mix to double as a demo submission for a few local clubs and what came out is pretty awesome. I owe it in part to the new Morgan Page release but mostly I am picking up mixing experience quickly between my weekly dj gigs and this podcast.
The Tegan and Sara track was a gratifying find and because I wanted to keep this set mostly danceable, I included Ne-yo's Closer, which has been in my playlists all summer and in the future when listening back to this show, this song will likely be a vivid reminder of an insane summer living in the Castro in 2008. (Also I'm proud of the little mash-up between the two songs. I hope the variation of genre doesn't detract from this podcasts identity. Trance music is at my core but House, Dance and Hip-Hop are crucial)
